Traveler’s Destination: Liverpool, England

Liverpool is located in northwest England and is a 30-minute train ride away from one of our partner universities, Edge Hill University. One of the most popular traveler’s destinations in Liverpool is Albert Dock which was featured in another blog post here. But this post will be about another traveler’s destination in Liverpool- the Liverpool Cathedral.

The Liverpool Cathedral is a gothic-style Anglican cathedral located on the south side of downtown Liverpool and is a 15 minute walk from the main train station. It is one of the tallest cathedrals in the UK and is a must-see when visiting Liverpool. The cathedral is massive- 207 yards long and 331 feet tall, it is the largest cathedral in the UK and the 5th largest cathedral in the world!

It sits up top of St. James’s Mount so it can be seen from all over Liverpool. After checking out Albert Dock, Mathew Street, and all the neat museums, make sure you make the trek to the Liverpool Cathedral!
